Screw you censorship..

the indian censor board is again up with gimmicks, this time fashion TV..now what the #$%^ (pardon my french)is wrong with them.

if someone makes an effort to stay awake till midnight to treat his hormones, why do these morons have to interfere."Worlds Sexiest Advertisements" was a fun program u treated it the same.

Now maharashtra Govt. claims CBSE sex education books are too graphic, I haven't read them but cannot see what harm can they do, show me one kid of 16 who does not have access to raunchy books.

there is a law that says
in order to make a man or a boy covet a thing, it is only necessary to make the thing difficult to attain

my dear censoship , you are just doing that to sex.

You are right.
Trying to censor late night shows is one thing. But saying that school books are too graphic?!!!

Where do we learn then?
It's better to be educated formally than get some vague ideas about a biological process which is the very origin of life.
Pretending to be naive and saying- Good boys/girls need no sex education is like an ostrich trying to bury its head in the sand.
When will these people have some sense?

There should be saner measures to provide sex education in schools. And that should preferably begin in pre teens. In fact, they should also be informed about the forthcoming changes their bodies are going to undergo so it's easier for them to accept themselves when they reach puberty.

I can holler my lungs out on this topic. But who's listening?

AXN had submitted a quick apology also promptly accepted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting who lifted the ban. So, the ‘babus’ in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting think they can act funny, do the moral policing and close some channels as per their convenience. No one knows for sure if illegal gratification plays a role in this game. The reason behind closing FTV? “The programmes telecast by the channel were against good taste and decency and denigrated women. Such shows were likely to adversely affect public morality.”
Ha, Ha.

Thanks Aparna,

thanks for hollering, give rest to ur lungs..i did listen.. and its never too late to educate oneself..

true, one must have sex education at school but I for one cannot yet imagine how will a teacher speak about it in a class of students who hail in from home where this is the least discussed topic..we must shed this..sex does not deserve the reverence its been attributed..

welcome back candid..
know what i think , the soap operas where every woman sleeps with every man in the serial and vice versa , builds that iota of doubt in every mind, takes the story to an unattended line "denigrate" woman and society more than anything else cause they are not meant to serve the purpose..

as Churchill once said "there are no morals in politics, only expediencies, a rogue is useful just because he is a rogue", its fair for an ftv program to treat the hormones but unfair for a 9'o clock soap to spoil the minds..
